A consortium of leading developers comprising Taylor Wimpey, Manor Kingdom and AWG Property has announced proposals for a residential-led development with associated infrastructure and open space on 54 hectares of land at Kippendavie, on the eastern edge of Dunblane.
Proposals for the Kippendavie site include approximately 350 new homes of which a quarter will be affordable, meeting strong local demand for good quality family homes as well as affordable housing needs. In addition to providing residents and the wider community with new landscaped open space and children’s play facilities, the proposals also offer the opportunity for improved transport infrastructure, including new cycle and pedestrian links, and enhanced physical integration with the existing town centre.
The proposals also identify potential locations for a new landmark hotel development incorporating small business units and a possible community campus incorporating education, health and/or community facilities.
Although the details are still to be determined in consultation with Stirling Council, if approved, the development will make a positive contribution towards the expansion and improvement of local school, community and health facilities in the town.
The development would also be comprehensively master-planned in accordance with Scottish Government guidance and constructed using sustainable building technologies and materials.
In this context, Taylor Wimpey, Manor Kingdom and AWG Property are inviting members of the local community in Dunblane to attend an exhibition of draft plans for the development of the land at Kippendavie.
Further details about the proposals and the community engagement event are available by contacting Joanne Plant at WYG Planning & Design.
Following the current process of engagement with the local community, and taking due account of the feedback received during that process, the consortium intends to submit a formal planning application to Stirling Council early in the New Year.
It is scheduled to take place at the following times, with members of the project team available to answer questions as detailed:
Exhibition boards to download will be available here from Monday the 16th November.
